Shreveport Felon Arrested on Multiple Weapon & Drug Charges

Felon Arrested with Narcotics and Firearms
On September 20th, 2024, at approximately 12:14 AM, Shreveport Police Department officers observed a blue Ford Crown Victoria fail to signal while turning westbound onto Hollywood Avenue from Monkhouse Drive. Officers initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as 32-year-old Roderick McKnight.
Upon confirming that McKnight had an active warrant out of Caddo Parish, officers conducted a search of the vehicle. During the search, a stolen firearm and narcotics were discovered. Further investigation revealed that McKnight, a convicted felon, was unlawfully in possession of the firearm.
McKnight was taken into custody and now faces multiple charges, including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of stolen property, and narcotics-related offenses.
