Convicted Sexual Assault Felon Arrested After Ramming Shreveport Police Car
A dangerous police pursuit on Sunday evening concluded with the arrest of a wanted felon who allegedly went to "extraordinary lengths" to evade capture, according to the Shreveport Police Department (SPD).
Just before 8:00 p.m., patrol officers attempted to conduct a routine traffic stop on Marvaeya Anderson. Instead of complying, Anderson reportedly initiated a reckless pursuit, during which he rammed a Shreveport Police vehicle in an attempt to escape.

The chase ended when Anderson abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot. He then barricaded himself inside an abandoned building on Pro Street.
Officers quickly established a perimeter around the structure. Demonstrating what the SPD called "remarkable bravery" and teamwork, the officers entered the building and pursued Anderson. He was ultimately taken into custody without further incident, ensuring the dangerous situation ended safely for both the public and law enforcement personnel.
Serious Charges and Discoveries
Following his apprehension, investigators discovered Anderson was already wanted on three existing felony warrants, including one for sexual assault.
A search conducted after the arrest allegedly revealed Anderson was in possession of a substantial amount of illicit material:
