When police arrived, they found several packages that had been cut open with a knife. They saw a man, later identified as FedEx driver Jalen Page, taking items out of the packages. A more thorough investigation of his FedEx truck revealed thousands of dollars' worth of stolen merchandise. The stolen items were from multiple stores in the area, including Buckle, Best Buy, Rack Room Shoes, American Eagle, Lululemon, and Sports Spectrum, among others.

Ongoing Investigation and Charges

Detectives from the Shreveport Police Department’s Property Crimes Unit are now leading the investigation. Page has been charged with three counts of organized retail theft. The police believe the case is far from over, as they continue to find more stolen property. So far, they have recovered an estimated $25,000 in merchandise and are processing additional items to identify more victims and return the stolen goods.

The Shreveport Police Department released a statement that expressed their gratitude to the citizens who reported the suspicious activity and to the officers and detectives who have been working on the case.
