Jackson has donated $500,000 dollars among these agencies. He says he was inspired to donate after he produced a documentary for Netflix about Sean P Diddy Comb’s involvement in domestic violence incidents.
This money will be a huge help during this time when agencies are having a tough time raising money and the cost for many goods and services are high. They are also dealing with high fuel costs which also increases costs for all goods and services.
Caddo Sheriff Henry Whitehorn is also in the process of setting up a domestic violence center at 1501 Corporate Drive in north Shreveport. This will be a place where victims can go to get help finding services in our community. The latest stats show almost 30% of crimes in Shreveport can be traced back to domestic violence. Leaders say we need to do everything we can to tackle this problem.
