Shreveport Police Arrest Two Women for Cruelty to a Juvenile

Over the weekend, Shreveport Police were called to Anna Street to reports of juvenile abuse.

SPD arrived on scene, and saw a 15 year-old girl with visible bruising and scratches all over her body. Detectives with SPD's Youth Services Bureau started an investigation, and found that two women were suspected of harming the child.

As a result women identified as Lula Shine and Jackquenette Hopkins were arrested and charged with one count each of Cruelty to a Juvenile. The Department of Children and Family Services is now involved and have started their own investigation.

This incident is still under investigation. This article will be updated as more information is forthcoming.
