Residents got very emotional in calling out District A Councilman Willie Bradford who was supporting the proposal. They presented the council with a petition signed by more than 500 residents who opposed the complex.

One of the biggest concerns was the impact on property values. But several also talked about the potential for crime in and around this complex. On Monday, Bradford told KTBS-3 if the residents didn't like the plan, they should consider moving from the area. That comment drew several heated remarks during the Tuesday meeting directed at Bradford. But in the end, the panel voted 5-2 against the proposed 22 million dollar development. Only Willie Bradford and James Flurry voted in favor of it.
