Who Wants to Be on Council to Represent SW Shreveport?
Shreveport Council Chairman James Flurry resigned from the panel earlier this month when he moved out of the district and moved to the east side of the city. Now, the Shreveport City Council now has to appoint someone who lives in southwest Shreveport to represent those residents.
The Council is holding a special meeting on Thursday to interview the 9 candidates who have applied to serve. The meeting kicks off at 9am. The following candidates will be questioned during this session.

Once a candidate is selected by a majority of the council, that person will serve out the remainder of Flurry's term which wraps up at the end of next year. The election is in November of 2022.
