Shreveport Cop Arrested For Driving Drunk

A Shreveport police officer has been arrested following a crash Thursday morning. John Scheen, who has been on the Shreveport Police Department since 2008, lost control of his Ford pickup and struck a retaining wall on I-49 near the East 70th street exit.

Based on evidence gathered at the scene, Scheen was charged with DWI first offense. Chief Willie Shaw has placed Scheen on paid administrative leave pending further investigation.
