Shreveport police are asking for help from the public to find a man wanted for a shooting and carjacking.

At about 1am on Tuesday June 28th, officers were called to the 3900 block of Jewella Avenue to investigate a shooting that happened at a local gas station. Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Investigators with the Violent Crimes and Crime Scene Units responded to the scene and collected evidence and canvassed the area interviewing witnesses and viewing video surveillance footage. Police are releasing a photo of the suspect in hopes someone will recognize him and help them get him in custody.

The victim told detectives he was approached by four black men and one pulled out a gun and shot him in the leg. The suspect then stole the victim’s vehicle. The victim was transported to a local area hospital with a non-life-threatening wound.

If you have information on the suspect, please contact Shreveport Police at 318-673-7300 #3. If you would like to supply information and stay anonymous contact Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373. Remember Crime Stoppers only wants your information, not your information.
