(Bossier City, LA)  – Don’t miss your three-time American Basketball Association National Champions at the Shreveport-Bossier Mavericks Season Tip-Off Party at Horseshoe Casino & Hotel Thursday, November 6, 2014, from 7:00 p.m. until Midnight.

The Riverdome will be transformed into the hottest party atmosphere in town for one night only. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the Championship Ring Presentation for the 2013-14 ABA National Champion Mavericks will begin at 7:30 p.m.  DJ Love will also be keeping the music going all night.

The Season Tip-Off Party will have a cash bar, dancing, performances by the Lady Mavs Dance Team, and a chance to meet and mingle with the 2014-15 Mavericks players.

The Shreveport-Bossier Mavericks swept through the 2013-14 ABA season undefeated, winning the championship for their third league title (2009-10, 2010-11, 2013-14). The Mavericks enter the 2014-15 season with a 60-game winning streak – the longest in professional basketball history – and have won 66 consecutive home games dating to the 2009-10 season. Their 123-7 record since 2008 is the best ever in the ABA, and they are the only three-time ABA National Champions.

Notable players returning to the Shreveport-Bossier Mavericks this season include reigning Most Valuable Player of both the league and the Championship Finals Ed Horton, 2009-10 MVP Josh Pace, and former Louisiana-Monroe Warhawk Tony Hooper. Four-time ABA Coach of the Year Steve Tucker, holder of the best record among coaches in league history, returns to lead the Mavericks as they go for their fourth ABA National Championship.
