Shreve Memorial Library has delivered over a ton of food to the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana.

The food was collected during the library's month-long "Food for Thought" amnesty period.  During the month of December, patrons with overdue books and other library materials received fine forgiveness in exchange for each non-perishable food item donated.  The library system says the response was phenominal with a total of 4,093 pounds donated.
