Seratones of Shreveport Make National TV Appearance
It was so exciting to see Shreveport mentioned prominently on national tv this weekend when the Seratones, performed on the CBS Saturday Morning show.
The Seratones sound is influenced by soul and punk.
Friday, the group released "Power," their second studio collection, and began a 35-city international tour. Seratones performs three of its hit songs.
The new album is much more on the soul side of rock and roll. Their debut album had a much more rock vibe to it. But by listening to both, you can tell this group is so very talented and will no doubt shine a spotlight on the great live music scene in Shreveport Bossier.
A.J. Haynes is the lead vocalist and founder of the band. She previously taught high school English at C.E. Byrd. She has a Masters from Centenary and could always fall back on teaching if this band thing ever craters. But by the looks of things, the Seratones have a bright future ahead.
