Save-A-Life Saturday

The Northwest Louisiana Chapter of the American Red Cross will offer a special free CPR and first aid training class this Saturday, March 19th, as part of the Gabrielle Giffords Honorary Save-A-Life Saturday. Red Cross chapters accross the country are holding the classes at more than 100 different locations. Local classes will be held at the Red Cross office on Linwood Avenue at 9 and 10:30 a.m., and 1:30 and 3 p.m. Training lasts 45 minutes to an hour, and includes instruction in hands-only CPR, controlling external bleeding and managing shock.
