Restaurants Can Re-Open at 25% Capacity Starting Today
Starting today (Friday May 15th), for the first time since March 13th, restaurants will be able to allow patrons to dine at their stores. Today is the first day since the Governor issued his 'Stay at Home' Order that folks will be allowed to eat and drink at their favorite establishments.
Now, under Louisiana's Phase 1 guidelines, things are not wide open. Restaurants will only be able to operate at 25% capacity (which includes staff). There are also some strict social distancing and cleaning practices that businesses must practice. Some local restaurants have decided it is best for their business not to re-open at this time, others are ready to roll and open back up to the public.
Below is a restaurant directory of all the local dinning establishments. You can easily find their website, phone number and see what services they are offering. However, since this situation is so fluid and new, there's a good chance that I may have missed or mislabeled a restaurant. If you own a restaurant or frequent one that you don't see it on the list or is offering different services than listed, please let me know so we can get it corrected. Email me at matt.puffenbarger@townsquaremedia.com so I can make any and all adjustments.
Also, keep in mind that there will be a rush on restaurants for the foreseeable future. So, be patient, be kind and take care of your server. And, as being recommended by many local establishments, make reservations or eat on off hours if you can.
And, if you're in the mood for Italian food, be sure to check out our featured restaurant of the month Giuseppe's Pastacaffe! From lasagna to sandwiches, Giuseppe's will take care of your Italian needs with dine-in, patio dining or curbside service.
