Red River Is Now Expected to Crest at 37ft Monday Morning!
The National Weather Service has again adjusted the projected crest for the Red River in Shreveport. The river continues to climb. Crews are working 24/7 to shore up the levees and to protect the lift station at Stoner:
The Clyde Fant Parkway is only open from Island Park to Shreveport Barksdale on the Northbound side. It is also open from Stoner to Shreveport Barksdale on the southbound side. The Teague Parkway in Bossier is closed from the Centurylink Center to Shreveport Barksdale.
The Army National Guard will be assisting the City of Shreveport today with the transportation of two pumps to the North Regional Waste Water Treatment Plant near Russell Road and I-220.
The National Guard will be using a Blackhawk helicopter to deliver the pumps to the plant, which is inaccessible by vehicle due to flood water. The pumps will be used to supplement existing operating equipment and provide relief to pumps that are currently running 24-hours a day at that location.
