The Ark-La-Tex community is gearing up for the annual Provenance Fall Farmers Markets & Concerts this October in Windrush Park.

The markets will take place Thursday evenings -- October 6, 13, 20 and 27 -- from 5-8 p.m., featuring live music. The events are free and open to the public, but of course, there will be goods for sale.

Farmers, artisans, crafters and makers of all kinds will be there, offering fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, dairy products, handmade items, art, ready-to-eat foods and more.

For those unfamiliar with Provenance Development, it's located on Southern Loop near I-49 in Shreveport, and Windrush Park offers shaded areas for these events.

Provenance invites the entire community to shop local, eat local and enjoy great live music while supporting farmers, artists and other small business owners in the Ark-La-Tex.

Here's more about the development, courtesy of a news release:

Reminiscent of the small towns of yesteryear, Traditional Neighborhood Developments foster a strong sense of community in a charming and inviting setting. Provenance is so much more than a subdivision - it’s a village that blends nearby shops, restaurants and services with beautiful parks and a lake.

Choose from a broad array of custom home styles and sizes ranging from townhomes and cottages to large neighborhood and manor homes. It’s the first community of its kind in Shreveport and provides residents with the quality of life and convenience that today’s families of all ages and sizes long to enjoy. In addition to ample green spaces and Windrush Lake, Provenance offers a neighborhood clubhouse, two pools and family friendly community events throughout the year.
