Pictures From Inside the 2024 Krewe of Centaur Bal

This past weekend, the Krewe of Centaur celebrated their Grand Bal 32. The theme for this year's bal was "Mystical Vacation", and the event took attendees through mythical destinations like Asgard, The Shire, Atlantis, and Westeros.

If you're not familiar with a Mardi Gras Bal, you should really check one out. There are multiple Krewes in the Shreveport-Bossier area that host bal events every year. The Krewe of Centaur website defines a bal as an event where:

"...scenes representing a specific theme are acted out for the entertainment of club members and their guests, Krewe royalty is traditionally presented during the bal."

For a look inside this year's Krewe of Centaur Grand Bal 32, we look to a man that many Shreveport Mardi Gras Krewe members know well. He's a guy that embodies the fun atmosphere and exciting vibes that Mardi Gras is all about. His Mardi Gras credentials are impeccable as well.

He's a Charter Member (Day 1 Member) of the Krewe of Centaur. He's served as King Centaur IX, and he's taken pictures at almost every Centaur event you can think of. Harvey Dillahunty is Shreveport's Mr. Mardi Gras. His love of Mardi Gras isn't limited to the Krewe of Centaur either. Mr. Mardi Gras can often be seen at events for other Krewes in the area, and don't be shocked if you catch him in New Orleans either.
