Person Found Shot Dead in Shreveport Apartment Complex

Late afternoon Friday (6/4/21) at 4:47p.m. Police and Fire units were called out to South Port Apartments on the 9300 block of Mansfield Road for a welfare check. The person who occupies the apartment had apparently not been heard from in some time.

Upon arrival Shreveport Police discovered that the door to the apartment in question was open. When Police entered the apartment they discovered the body of a woman who had been shot. The woman had been active on social media only 19 hours before the shooting took place, and police are currently trying to nail down a time of death.

The woman had apparently succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and head. Police are currently scouring the area for any witnesses and clues. We will update when more information becomes available.
