Overton Brooks Works To Fix Problems Found During Inspection

An inspection of Overton Brooks VA Medical Center shows that the facility has 20 areas where they need to improve. The inspection was conducted back in October following complaints about the facility.

Inspectors found dirty and clean items stored together, rusty equipment, and many other violations. Inspectors also report that they believe doctors at the center need to do a better job following up with patients.

Overton Brooks staff members are working to correct the issues and will be subject to inspections until all violations are corrected. Since the inspection, the hospital has bought  new equipment and started storing clean and dirty items in separate rooms.
