Thirteen-year-old Justin Bundtrock of Tulsa, Okla., and patient at Shriners Hospital for Children in Shreveport, helps firefighter, Justin Mackey of the Shreveport Fire Department, make “snow” during an Operation Santa Claus visit to the hospital Wednesday morning.

Bundtrock, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when he was two years old, was one of more than two dozen patients at Shriners who received presents from Santa Claus and a visit by first responders. Mackey is a six-year veteran with the fire department and has participated in Operation Santa Claus at Shriners for four of those years.

Operation Santa Claus is a joint endeavor with law enforcement officers from the Bossier Sheriff’s Office and Shreveport Police Department, firefighters from the Shreveport Fire Department, Townsquare Media and the public who gives generously each year in order to provide Christmas presents to more than 1,000 disadvantaged children here in our area.
