Northwest Louisiana Master Gardeners Set to Host Annual Spring Plant Sale

If you love getting out in the garden and planting flowers, you really want to know about this event. The Northwest Louisiana Master Gardeners are preparing to host one of the biggest events in the area for people who love plants. The highly anticipated annual Spring Plant Sale is coming up in less than 2 weeks.

When and Where is the Spring Plant Sale?

This years' event is set for Saturday, April 11, 2026. It takes place at the Red River Research Center, located at 262 Research Station Rd. in south Bossier City. Travel down Barksdale Boulevard past Parkway High School and look for the iconic "Big Red Barn" to get to the event.

An Expanded Selection for 2026

At the plant sale this year, you will find more variety than ever before. Organizers say they will have plants available for both novice gardeners and seasoned landscape designers. This year’s inventory features an impressive array of Louisiana Super Plants, which are specifically tested and selected for their superior performance in the state’s unique climate.

Thousands of Plants Will Be Up for Grabs

Shoppers will be able to select from all kinds of pollinator plants, native species, and the fan-favorite Louisiana Irises. If you want to add some color to your garden or home, you will also find hanging baskets, succulents, and vibrant annuals. More substantial additions, such as trees and Angel Trumpets, will also be available for purchase.

What Are Hours for Plant Sale

The event kicks off at 8:00 am and will wrap up at 1:00 pm. But you are encouraged to arrive early because this event attracts a huge crowd. If it's a stormy day, a "Rain Day" has been pre-scheduled for April 25, 2026.
