Mega Millions Jackpot Climbs to $1.6 Billion

No winner in the Friday night drawing for the monster Mega Millions jackpot  of $1 billion dollars. The prize now climbs to $1.6 billion for the Tuesday night drawing.

This top prize will now be the largest lottery prize in history. It could top the $2 billion dollar mark after ticket sales are totaled up over the next four days.

The winning numbers in the Friday night drawing were:

5, 23, 53, 65, 70 and 7.

In cash you should hit the winning numbers on Tuesday, the lump sum cash option is $900 million. You would still have to settle with the IRS, but that shouldn't be a problem for anyone.

Ticket sales for the Tuesday night drawing are expected to soar. In fact, some folks waited as long as 2 hours to buy tickets for the Friday night drawing. In Nevada, you can not buy Mega Millions tickets, so Las Vegas folks made the trek to a California border town to buy tickets.
