Shreveport Mayoral candidate Lee O. Savage talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright about what he sees as the city's major problems, his vision and his plan, as a Republican, to get Democrat voters to cross the political aisle.

Savage, a local businessman and Shreveport native, says "We have so many problems," including crime, corruption and making the city clean, and says that "we can't attract new industry to Shreveport until we fix...those issues."

A self described conservative Republican, Savage says, "I don't look at Shreveport as being a Republican or Democrat city, a black city or a white city," and the key to winning voter from another party is to show them his passion and love for the city.
