Mayor Perkins Sends Letters to Appointees

Mayor Adrian Perkins has sent out a letters to a couple of appointees letting them know they will be replaced. I got the letter in my mailbox last week and I'm told Stan Varner is also getting the boot from the A&E Committee.

I've served on the Architectural and Engineering Committee for about a year and have attended a couple of meetings.  I was preparing for a meeting this month, but am glad I got the "dear John" letter before I delved into the reading of a pile of proposals for a water and sewer project.

I'm ok with getting the dump. I really have no problem with this.  In fact, I am happy about this decision and I get it.  He wants to make his own choices. I do have a little worry that this will delay things for a couple of projects. It's going to take some time to get new members confirmed by the city council and with a project pending, what kind of delay will that cause?  We'll have to wait and see.
