Shreveport/Bossier's sixth riverboat casino gets the green light. Bossier Casino Venture has secured the financing to build its $197-million Margaritaville resort casino in Bossier City. Work is expected to begin almost immediately with a hoped-for opening date in June of 2013. When it's finished, the complex -- just north of Bass Pro Shops -- will have a 30-thousand square foot, single-level gaming floor; a 396-room, 18-story hotel; and a 900-seat entertainment center as well as the Margaritaville Restaurant. Concurrent with securing the financing, Bossier Casino Venture has also exercised its option with Isle of Capri for the Grand Palais riverboat's license.
