Man Murdered in Shreveport – Another Fighting for Life

One man is dead and another is in critical condition after an overnight shooting in Shreveport.

It happened just before midnight in the 2700 block of Waggoner near Hearne at the Centrum Apartment Complex. Police say both men were sitting inside a vehicle, when one or more people approached them and started shooting. One victim was shot in the head and died at the scene. The other was shot in the face and transported to Ochsner LSU Health.

Officers report some evidence at the scene indicates this shooting may be drug related. Illegal narcotics were found inside the car.  Police are interviewing residents in the area and searching for other clues which could lead them to suspects in this case.
