Shreveport police are searching for clues in the city's latest murder. The shooting happened Saturday afternoon in the Queensborough neighborhood.

28-year-old Shamarcus Diamond Smith of Shreveport, was found deceased in the 3600 block of Bellaire Avenue around 3:52 p.m. He was positively identified through fingerprint comparison.

An autopsy has been ordered at Ochsner LSU Health hospital.


Officers were called to the 3600 block of Bellaire Avenue where they found the victim shot several times in the street.

No word on suspects or witnesses.
