Man Charged With Trying to Burn Down House

Shreveport fire investigators have arrested a local man for trying to burn down a house. The fire department got a call that 51-year-old James C. Johnson was pouring charcoal lighter fluid around a house in the 200 block of East Dalzell Street and threatening to light it. When a fire investigator arrived on scene and interviewed Johnson, he admitted that he had poured the lighter fluid around the home and planned to burn it down. Johnson was then arrested on a charge of attempted aggrevated arson. If convicted,Jjohnson could be facing anywhere form six to twenty years behind bars.
