Man Arrested for Firing Shots in Front of Bossier City School
A Bossier City man's been arrested for allegedly shooting a gun in front of a local school.
Last Friday night, a large group of people got into a disturbance in the 4200 block of Van Deeman Street -- right in front of Sun City Elementary School. Bossier City police say one man is believed to have fired several shots toward a group of people as they were leaving the scene. Though none of them were hit, police say one round hit the muffler of a car parked in the school parking lot and three rounds struck the front of the school building.
After a weekend-long investigating, detectives were able to develop 20-year-old Tyron Jamarsay McGee as the man they believe fired the shots. He's now been arrested on charges of illegal use of a weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, and carrying a firearm on school property.
