Man Arrested for Elmview House Party Shooting
A Shreveport man has turned himself in in connection with a July 29th shooting at a house party in the 8500 block of Elmview Street. Someone drove by the house and fired shots at the house, hitting two people. Their wounds weren't life-threatening. After talking to witnesses, police investigators developed 32-year-old Melvin Patterson as a suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest. Patterson, accompanied by his attorney, surrendered to police. He's charged with attempted first-degree murder.
