A recent 2013 Gallup Report, "State of the American Workplace," shows that Louisiana workers are the most engaged in the nation.  What's that mean?

Engaged employees are characterized as being involved in, enthusiastic about, and committed to their work.  Gallup says they contribute to their organization in a positive manner which translates into higher productivity, company growth, and customer satisfaction.  According to the report, Louisiana leads the country with the highest percentage of engaged workers at 37-percent.  The national average is 30-percent.

"Over and over again, we hear from companies that the reason they chose to expand in or move to North Louisiana was driven by the highly productive and dedicated workforce in our region," said North Louisiana Economic Partnership President Scott Martinez.  "The strong work ethic in Louisiana, which is a right-to-work state, drives our success."
