What Changes Are Ahead for Louisiana State Fair?
SHREVEPORT, LA - Things will be changing at the State Fair of Louisiana this year.
The fair runs October 30th through November 17th at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds in Shreveport.
As usual, the fair will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but that changes for election day on Tuesday, November 5th when the fair will be open.
The State Fair hours are 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. on weekdays and 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
What Will You Find at the Fair?
There will be plenty of shows and attractions, lots of live music, and the largest livestock show in the state, all free with state fair gate admission. Special events will include the LRCA Finals Rodeo, Veterans Day Parade, Faith at the Fair, and Latino Day.
What's Changing at the Fair This Year?
The midway will be changing. The fair has hired Talley Amusements to bring in rides and excitement to fans. Crabtree Amusements provided the midway at the State Fair of Louisiana for the last 10 years. But management decided to take bids to try to find a new provider.
Tally will be setting up what is described as "grand entrance, new-to-the-region spectacular state-of-the art rides, and thousands of LED lights."
Tally will also have charging stations and diaper changing stations around the fair.
