So the headline might be a little misleading, but if Louisiana finished 2nd to last in a poll about the "Safest Cities in America", wouldn't that mean that we're the 2nd most dangerous?

That's how it went down in the newly released survey from Wallethub.com.  They ranked states from safest to "least safe" using 37 criteria including crime rates, disease rates, natural disasters, workplace injuries, insurance coverage, job security, DUI's and fatal crashes.

Examining their findings below, we see that Vermont is the safest state followed by Maine and Massachusetts.  And the "least safe" state is our neighbor to the east, Mississippi, followed by the good old Sportsman's Paradise, Louisiana.

Maybe this explains why our insurance rates are so high and why we have such a lack of insurance coverage?
