Lots to Do Halloween Weekend…Here’s Just ONE Idea!

Friday is a busy day! Not only is it my birthday (it's a "big" one, too!)...it's also the day a lot of Halloween activities kick off.  One of the most fun things (at least, that's what people have told me...I have yet to make it to this event) is the artscare Dead Celeb Ball at artspace.  Shreveport Regional Arts Council Marketing Director Julia Foley tells me it's possible you'll see Marilyn Monroe or James Dean wandering downtown Shreveport Friday night.  And the Ball features live music, a costume contest, a buffet will all sorts of ghoulish treats, and drink specials...all for 25 bucks!  And it includes a Celebrity Sunglasses Silent Auction, with the items made by local artists. Foley says this is an adults-only party (sorry, kids...21 and over!) that kicks off around 7:30 Friday night and runs til the early-morning hours.
