The Shreveport Regional Arts Council is paying tribute to Shreveport legend Stan “The Record Man” Lewis with a “retro” exhibition showcasing highlights from Stan’s career and an exhibition centered around Northwest Louisiana recording musicians.

A new piece of art is headed to the Shreveport riverfront. And the City of Shreveport and Shreveport Regional Arts Council will unveil it next week. The public art sculpture, created by Deedee Morrison, is called "Safe Harbor." It's an innovative lighted sculpture that will be located across from Sci-Port on Clyde Fant Parkway...

Friday is a busy day! Not only is it my birthday (it's a "big" one, too!)...it's also the day a lot of Halloween activities kick off.  One of the most fun things (at least, that's what people have told me...I have yet to make it to this event) is the artscare Dead Celeb Ball at artspace...
