A police chase in Bossier City forced several schools to go into lockdown mode.

Shreveport police reportedly chased two men over a bridge into Bossier, and were looking for them in the area.

The incident affected Bossier High, Bossier Elementary and Butler Educational Center. The precautionary lockdowns have been lifted.

We got this new info from Bossier City spokesman Mark Natale:

Shreveport police chased two suspects involved in a shots fired call on W. College into Bossier City on I-20. We got the call from SPD around 11:15 a.m. for assistance. SPD pursued vehicle to the 500 block of Ogilvie Street, where the two suspects bailed out of the car. One was caught behind a house by a canine officer. He was taken to University Health for treatment of a dog bite. The other suspect is still on the run. He's described only as a black male believed to be wearing a yellow shirt.
