Rev. Terrance Trammell, House Manager at the Salvation Army's Merkel Center of Hope, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the shelter's increased need for assistance because of the brutally cold temperatures sweeping the area this week.

Trammell tells KEEL listeners that the sub-feeezing temps are filling the shelter with as many as 100, with normal numbers being markedly lower. The Reverend adds that while financial assistance is the number one priority, food, clothing, toiletries and "anything folks normally use at home" are necessities.
