Local Red Cross Chapter Prepares for Karen

As Tropical Storm Karen churns in the Gulf, our local American Red Cross Chapter is making preparations -- just in case.  

Even though no activity is expected in our area right now, Assistant Executive Director Michelle Davison says local volunteers and shelters will remain on stand-by over the weekend.  All across the Gulf Coast, local Red Cross chapters are preparing to respond if needed.  Supplies have been pre-positioned in trailers across the Gulf so they can be available quickly.
