As Hurricane Laura continues her path north, many parishes and areas are reporting damage due to the storm. The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office just provided an update that they are seeing hurricane force winds.

In a Facebook post, the NPSO posted the following:

HURRICANE LAURA REMAINS CATEGORY 1 AS IT MOVES ACROSS NATCHITOCHES PARISH; WINDS BETWEEN 50-90 MPH
Roof blown off Robeline Police building in Robeline
Widespread power outages and trees down throughout Natchitoches Parish.

And while the storm has yet to reach its max in Shreveport-Bossier, we are starting to get reports of damage in the area. We're getting reports of a massive tree and power lines down in the 6100 block of Line Ave. We've also received reports from listeners of mass power outages and down trees all across the area including Haughton, Shreveport and Blanchard.

Why Does It Only Hail in Summer?
