Attorney Larry English, representing Gateway Development Consortium, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the latest developments in their plan to build in downtown Shreveport's Cross Bayou area.
The GDC plan, which previously has had an announced price tag of a billion dollars, tells KEEL listeners that the latest proposal to be made to the Shreveport City Council will ask the city to donate eighty eight acres of land for the project. English adds that the development, which includes municipal and office space, plus both a retail and residential area, will repay the city many times over in tax revenue.
English adds that if the council approves the GDC plan, work could be underway as early as mid 2020.
