Jobs Open with Shreveport Police and Fire Departments

The Shreveport Police and Fire Departments are looking for some new recruits. There will be an open house recruiting event happening this Saturday.

It will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Shreveport Police and Fire Academy on Greenwood Road.

You can submit an application on the spot for jobs in the Shreveport Police Department as a police officer, a jailer and a communications officer.

The Fire Department is accepting applications for the positions of Firefighter and Communications Officer.

Guests can check out a mock crime scene, live demonstrations and displays from the K-9, SWAT, lake patrol and other units.

The fire department will set up a mock EMS event, a bomb demo and have some new equipment available to check out.
