Living in the Shreveport and Bossier City area, you hear a lot of negative stories about The State Fair of Louisiana. But its not all bad. I've been told how incredible the food is, how much fun the events that take place during the fair are, and how much fun families can have in the carnival atmosphere.

But there are a seriously high number of people who will hate on the State Fair no matter what. To the point where I start to question whether or not they've ever actually been to the fair, or if this is just part of their identity.

See, Shreveport has this group of people who feign dissatisfaction at anything and everything in Shreveport. If they didn't come up with it, it sucks. If they're not personally profiting off it, it sucks. If it costs an admission fee, it sucks. If someone involved in any aspect of it is deemed "problematic", it should be canceled. If its the wrong day of the week, I'm not going. If its in the wrong venue, I'm out. "I never heard about it", while there's a $200,000 advertising campaign behind it (this is personally my favorite, because they position it like its not their fault they didn't want to support it. They heard about it, probably commented negatively online about it, but don't want to own up to it when the spotlight swings towards them).

If you live in, or have lived in, the Shreveport and Bossier area, you've ran across these people. Honestly, its hard not to. They're in every social media comment section. Just feigning their annoyance that nice things may happen here.

Which brings us back to the State Fair of Louisiana. An event that has a lot of detractors inside the comment sections.

But what happens when someone who's not living in Shreveport or Bossier, comes in for the event without any preconceived notions? Someone who hasn't been influenced by the Shreveport malaise...turns out, they enjoy it. At least, that's the way this vlogger appears to leave the fair. Seemed like a great day according to this video:
