Get ready Shreveport, because its going to get loud this weekend. Friday, September 27th, a platinum selling rock band will be playing an up-close-and-personal show in Shreveport. The show will be Friday night at Strange Brew, on Wall Street in Shreveport...and it will feature the band Drowning Pool.

Best known for their platinum selling single "Bodies", the band has had five top 10 charting singles over their career, and eight top 20 singles. Among those singles you will find hits like "Turn So Cold", "Step Up", and "37 Stiches". But you don't find one of the songs that most people know from the group. Even thought its one of their most well known, popular, and most listened to songs...it wasn't an officially released single.

The song we're talking about is called "Rise Up", and it was the theme song for WWE's Smackdown for 4 years between 2004 and 2008.

Drowning Pool has been very prolific with WWE, and are one of the most legendary bands in pro wrestling history. The song "Bodies" served as the theme for ECW's weekly tv on the Sci-Fi network, has been used as Stephanie McMahon's intro music, the theme for the PPV events December to Dismember, SummerSlam, and two years of ECW's One Night Stand.

The group also provided the theme for Wrestlemania X8, "Tear Away", which they performed at WestleMania. Then they provided the theme for Wrestlemania XX, "Step Up". Their song "Sinner" was used as the theme for the Vengeance PPV in 2001 as well.

Also performing with Drowning Pool at Strange Brew in Shreveport will be K.O.D., Critical Failure, and Nuwma.

Hurry, get your tickets in advance to make sure you don't miss this one.
