One of the best things about living in Shreveport-Bossier is that there is never a short supply of live music. We love music in the Bayou State and it seems like we are always looking for a reason to celebrate and incorporate music into our lives.

Prize Fest is Taking Over Shreveport for Two Weeks.

In case you aren't familiar with Prize Fest, I can best describe it as a big festival with a competition attached to it.

"Prize Fest is a competition and festival that takes place in Shreveport, Louisiana featuring five creative arts disciplines — film, food, music, fashion, and comedy — with over $100,000 in cash and prizes. The finalists have been preparing their work to be seen, heard, and tasted by the Prize Fest audience and the Prize Mentors — to win their votes to take home big cash prizes and more."

What I love the most is that we can all vote for who we think is the best. We get to help pick the winners and I live for that.

Friday, October 13th and Saturday, October 14th Music Prize Takes Over.

The party goes down at Remington Garage. Doors open up at 6:00 p.m. Each night will highlight 6 different musicians, for a total of 12 musicians from across the country who are competing for a cash grand prize of $10,000 and other prizes. There will be so much music, they need to split it into two nights.

Music Prize + Fashion Prize Late Night Party Saturday, October 14th from 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m at Stray Cat Bar.

What will we be doing there? It's a big celebration really. "Celebrate the winners of Music Prize and get ramped up for Fashion Prize at this Saturday night party at Stray Cat, featuring drink specials, music, and camaraderie late into the night. Immediately following the announcement of the winners!"

Sunday, October 15th is Set Up for the Fashion Prize Runway Brunch from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Phoenix Nightclub will have the most fun brunch option you've experienced in years.
"Fashion Prize is the most chique competition that Prize Fest offers, where five designers compete for a cash grand prize of $2,500 and Fashion Prize glory!
