Locals were upset when they got the news that another longtime favorite restaurant in Shreveport, LA  was set to close, but the eatery has been saved by getting last-minute new ownership.

What's the latest with the legendary Shreveport Cotton Boll Grill?

Earlier this month, the owners, a mother and daughter duo who have been running the eatery for the last eight years, Lisa Rayenga and Vikki Markaverich, announced their retirement. The Cotton Boll Grill has been serving breakfast and lunch in Shreveport since the 1930s and locals were understandably upset. The owners posted a notice on the door of the Fairfield Avenue restaurant saying that they planned on selling all of the memorabilia and equipment in the restaurant on Thursday, February 29, 2024, if no owner was found to continue the legacy. Well...

The Cotton Boll Grill is a Shreveport, LA classic.

I love how the sign up front tells you everything you need to know about The Cotton Boll Grill. It's been around forever and it's an obvious classic! Thankfully, KSLA is reporting that a new owner has been found and the restaurant will remain open.

The Cotton Boll Grill has been THE place to go in Shreveport-Bossier when you're looking for some stick-to-your-ribs comfort food for breakfast or lunch. We are so glad that someone was able to purchase the business and continue the Cotton Boll tradition.
