777 Ranch in Hondo, Texas

Just west of San Antonio sits the 777 Ranch. This massive property offers hunting, safari tours, and lodging. The 777 Ranch says they have over 60 species of native and exotic breeding herds from 80 countries and 5 continents. This piece of property though was once used as an African setting for Jim Carrey's "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls".

Famous Rhino Scene Shot at the 777 Ranch

In what maybe the most famous scene of the movie, it was shot at the 777 Ranch. The zebra Jeeps you see in the scene above were the actual safari tour vehicles the 777 Ranch would use to take guests around the property to show them the animals. In doing some more research about the 777 Ranch, looks like somebody bought one of these Jeeps at an auction in 2018.
