However, I think most would agree, have never smelled an odor so vile that it could actually put you in the hospital.

That's exactly what recently happened at Caney Creek High School just north of Houston.

In a notice from the Caney Creek Fire and Rescue, last Wednesday and Thursday, May 3rd and 4th, units were dispatched to the high school after reports rolled in about an incredibly foul smell of gas in the building.

Other units from the Woodlands Fire Department and the Conroe Fire Department Hazardous Response team were summoned for assistance in finding the origin of the odor.  Those units obtained air samples and even used gas monitoring equipment but were unable find where the odor was originating.

This odor was so bad, according to khou.com, "six students were taken to the hospital for a second day of "concerning odor" at the school."  The students all complained of severe headaches.

It was at this point that the Conroe ISD announced that, "Caney Creek HS will not have school tomorrow, Friday, May 5th, to allow the contractors to continue their investigation into the source. Just as we have throughout this situation, we will update you as we know more."

On Friday, May 5, as police, conducting an investigation into the matter, according to nypost.com, found a student who confessed to releasing a highly concentrated, prank, stink spray called Hensgaukt Fart Spray into the school.

The trickster finally confessed Friday to using the fart spray, advertised as a gag toy that “creates a smell like real poo and fake vomit.”

School administrators do not believe the student acted alone and are continuing the investigation.
