If you’ve been looking for an excuse to make that mini road trip down I-49, I just found a golden one for you.

We already know that New Orleans was just crowned the Food Capital of the World, and with all those brand-new Michelin stars lighting up the Crescent City, the food scene is hotter than a fresh batch of beignets. So, it’s really no surprise that America’s favorite food critic has chosen the Big Easy for one of the most epic food festivals ever.

We’ve all come to love Keith Lee. Whether you’re a foodie or just love a good underdog story, watching him help countless small businesses with his simple, "no-nonsense" food reviews has been incredible.

For those who aren't caught up, Keith is a former MMA fighter turned TikTok sensation with over 15 million followers. He’s famous for driving massive traffic to underrepresented restaurants, a phenomenon we now call the "Keith Lee Effect." When he speaks, people eat!

Now, Keith is taking that influence to the next level by launching his inaugural Familee Day festival in New Orleans on Saturday, May 16th. In a recent Instagram video, Lee broke down the jam-packed activities in store. We aren’t just talking about a few food trucks; he’s bringing food, music, carnival rides, and even an obstacle course.

“This is something we’ve been working on for the last year. I think it’s going to be the best festival on planet Earth.”  Lee said in his announcement.

By partnering with Live Nation Urban and Morow Hospitality, Familee Day is going to be a true Louisiana celebration. It will showcase the local restaurants that make NOLA famous alongside musicians that will have every generation of music lover dancing.

For us up here in Shreveport, it’s the perfect time to head south, check out those new Michelin-rated spots, and support a creator who has done so much for small businesses.
