SHOCKING! The Worst-Rated Restaurant Chains in Louisiana for Customer Service
When you head out to eat, good food is only part of the equation. The other big factor? Customer service. A great server can turn an average meal into an amazing experience, while a rude one can make you wish you had just stayed home.
Unfortunately, not every restaurant chain in Louisiana hits the mark when it comes to hospitality. According to a study by Coupon Pi, some spots are seriously lacking in the service department. Let’s take a look at the worst-rated restaurant chains for customer service in the Bayou State!
The folks over at Coupon Pi analyzed over 76,000 customer reviews across the U.S. to see which states and restaurant chains had the best and worst service. While Louisiana actually ranked fairly well overall (78% of reviews mentioned positive customer service), a few chains left customers feeling frustrated.
Our Texas friends are ranked dead last in this study for some of the worst customer service. You know what they say: Everything is bigger in Texas... I guess that includes their attitudes! (HAHA)
It's not all bad news; not every chain is struggling with customer service. According to the study, Dave’s Hot Chicken, Raisin' Canes Chicken, Chick-Fil-A, and Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers have some of the best-rated customer service throughout Louisiana and the rest of the country.
So which restaurant brands have the worst customer service according to the study? Let's take a look...
Dunkin’, once known as Dunkin’ Donuts, has built a reputation on its sweet treats, but coffee is its biggest moneymaker, accounting for 60% of its revenue. Dunkin' has more than 13,200 locations across the globe and well over 60 just here in Louisiana.
Despite its popularity, Dunkin’ has developed a reputation for less-than-stellar customer service. While 74.2% of customers had positive things to say, according to the report, 10.5% left negative reviews about their experiences—earning Dunkin’ the lowest customer service rating in a recent study, with a disappointing score of 87.6.
Not far behind is Taco Bell, which ranked just slightly better with an 87.7 customer service score. Dunkin' has more than 8,000 locations across the United States and well over 70 locations here in Louisiana.
The fast-food chain, known for its Mexican-inspired menu, had 74.1% positive reviews, but 10.4% of customers reported a poor experience.
Wendy’s rounds out the bottom three with a customer service score of 88.2. Despite its mission statement promising to make customers “feel at home,” the Ohio-based burger chain didn’t quite live up to the claim.
Most customers say they had positive interactions, but 9.9% shared negative experiences, placing Wendy’s among the worst-rated fast-food chains for hospitality, according to the report from Coupon Pi.
