Steve Parr of American Ground Radio talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright about the California wildfires and the claims by Governor Jerry Brown that these are just the first phase of a coming apocalyptic, global warming catastrophe.

Parr, who has a Masters Degree in Geosciences from Mississippi State, tells KEEL listeners that "the number of acres nationwide is about twice what it was in the 1960s through the 1980s. The difference was...we changed the way we did forestry management." Parr then describes that monumental 1994 court case: "a Clinton appointed judge said that when you're trying to thin out the California forests, you didn't take into account endangered species. Therefore, you can't thin out the forests for fire management, because it might affect wildlife."
